Sentinel Space Sensors

Building on decades of flight heritage, Sentinel is a portfolio of American-made space sensors manufactured at Redwire’s facility in Marlborough, Massachusetts. The Sentinel product line includes space-rated cameras, star trackers, and sun sensors engineered to support constellation-scale production for Low Earth Orbit (LEO), Geostationary Orbit (GEO), and Cislunar missions. 

Sentinel Space Cameras

Redwire’s Sentinel space cameras are manufactured in the US and deliver high resolution imagery for demanding missions, building on the heritage of the SpectraCAM and Argus product lines. SentinelCAM is optimized for precision measurement, fiducial tracking, and machine-vision applications supporting Space Situational Awareness (SSA), Rendezvous and Proximity Operations, Optical Navigation, and In-Space Assembly and Manufacturing (ISAM). SentinelEYE features 4K video streaming capabilities to enable real time awareness of critical operations.

Sentinel Star Trackers

SentinelTRAC star trackers are manufactured in the US and deliver accurate, reliable attitude determination in demanding environments. SentinelTRAC is software-reconfigurable in-orbit and supports high update rates with rapid lost-in-space recovery. The design incorporates improved SEU mitigation, enhanced built-in test (BIT), and radiation tolerance. SentinelTRAC also supports object-detection modes, providing access to raw imagery and up to 2,000 image centroids — the fundamental building block for unresolved object detection and tracking algorithms — to enable optical navigation and space situational awareness applications. Standard interfaces support both telemetry and high-rate imaging data, simplifying integration. Designed for a 10-year GEO service life.

Sentinel Sun Sensors

SentinelSUN is Redwire’s line of sun sensor products produced in the US and designed to deliver reliable sun acquisition and attitude awareness across a wide range of spacecraft architectures. Its robust performance supports precise orientation and mission stability in even the most demanding environments.
