Supporting the U.S. armed forces and giving back to our communities is another way Redwire is Made for the Mission, and Redwire volunteers recently put that ethos into action. As a Proud Drone Technology Partner of the Washington Commanders, Redwire co-hosted a community event on October 22 that invited kids from military families to participate in a youth football clinic alongside Commanders’ coaches and staff.

The football clinic was held at Marine Corps Base Quantico south of Washington, D.C. and drew approximately 350 attendees, including over 200 youth participants who rotated through multiple stations designed to teach football fundamentals and foster teamwork.

Youth athletes also had the chance to meet the Commanders’ team dog, TJ — a service dog in training who will eventually support a veteran through a partnership with Redwire and Warrior Canine Connection.

Redwire is proud of the volunteers from our team who made this evening a memorable event for military families, and even prouder to serve those who serve our nation.
