Hammerhead is the next evolution of the PROBA platform, leveraging the next iteration of Redwire’s proprietary onboard computer. Engineered in collaboration with the European Space Agency, Hammerhead offers high performance, high reliability, and an extensive flight heritage with over 50 years in orbit without failure.

Redwire is the prime contractor for the mission. Σyndeo-3 will foster innovation and strengthen the European space sector’s technological independence

Upcoming Mission

ALTIUS

The Atmospheric Limb Tracker for Investigation of the Upcoming Stratosphere (ALTIUS) is an upcoming European Space Agency (ESA) mission that will study the ozone layer to support services such as weather forecasting, and to monitor long-term Earth science trends. As the prime contractor for Altius, Redwire provided and integrated its Hammerhead spacecraft platform and Advanced Data Power Management System (ADMPS-3) avionics.

Upcoming Mission

QKDSat

QKDSat is an upcoming European Space Agency (ESA) mission to develop a Quantum Key Distribution Satellite (QKDSat) that will enable truly global long distance secure communications. The satellite will provide secure cryptographic key delivery services to the ground for different sectors where security and confidentiality is essential. For QKDSat, Redwire is providing its European-built Hammerhead spacecraft platform and Advanced Data Power Management System (ADMPS-3) avionics.
