ROSA
Redwire’s Roll Out Solar Array (ROSA) is a scalable, high-power solution with compact volume due to its unique rollable stowage configuration. With heritage on LEO, GEO, and deep space missions alike, ROSA is the ideal solar array for missions with the most demanding power, volume, and mass requirements.Â
Overview
About ROSA
ROSA is a next-generation solar power solution engineered for high performance, scalability, and simplicity. Utilizing strain energy for deployment, eliminating the need for motors or complex mechanisms. ROSA features a proprietary roll-up stowed configuration, and an integrated photovoltaic blanket assembly resulting in a compact, lightweight, and modular design optimized for a wide range of space missions.Â

Mission Spotlight
IROSA
Redwire’s International Space Station (ISS) Roll-Out Solar Arrays (IROSA) were developed for NASA under a contract with Boeing. With the initial two ROSA wings delivered in 2021, Redwire has now supplied eight ROSA solar wings to NASA for the ISS, six of which have are already deployed and operational on ISS today. ROSA wings enhance the space station’s power supply to support critical research and space operations. Each wing provides an additional 20+ kW of power over 10 years once deployed, and all eight wings combined will provide more than 160 kW. Since installation on the ISS, the six deployed wings have operated nominally, extending the operational lifecycle of ISS to 2030 and beyond.
