Following the Success of Artemis I, Redwire’s advanced optical imaging and sun sensor technology launched on board the Orion spacecraft as part of NASA’s Artemis II mission, the first crewed mission for the Artemis program. Through contracts with Lockheed Martin, NASA’s prime contractor for Orion, Redwire is responsible for the production and testing of the Orion Camera System for Artemis missions I-V.

For Artemis II, four astronauts flew aboard NASA’s Orion spacecraft around the Moon and back, successfully testing how the spacecraft’s systems operate in the environment of deep space.
